Bottom
A bottom is a role that is typically being affect by the Top in a scene. Most people don’t submit outside the agreed-upon period of play that both parties are having fun. A inexperienced bottom who isn’t designated a submissive or slave, is much more likely to “top from the bottom“.
Submissive
A submissive is someone who agrees to submit to a Dominant. This power dynamic can range from being a part-time role-player or full-time lifestyler. A submissive generally shows respect for others even when they are not in a D/s relationship with them. A submissive’s interactions with their Dominant and others are guided by roles, rules, and structure. They have a veto card known as the safeword that they can use most of the time.
Slave As a slave, you’re a different kind of submissive. They have no limits except those imposed by their Master and they have no choice but to serve their Master. A slave has surrendered themselves to a level of submission that even most submissives struggle to attain. Saying you were submissive and became a slave means you’ve always been a slave and are finally coming to terms with your identity as one. Re-defining yourself as a slave is not just a progression but an intensification of submission.
