What’s the difference between sub vs slave?
In the BDSM community, both submissive and slave roles are distinct identities.
For example, a submissive woman can want to serve, submit, and be dominated, but not necessarily all the time. She might reserve her desire to submit behind closed doors, meanwhile, in her personal life she is a highly-respected boss at her own company.
On the other hand, the power exchange between Dom/sub and Master/slave relationships are very different.
A slave in a M/s dynamic has a much higher level of submission. A slave completely surrenders to their Master, typically as a 24/7 lifestyle. This means that their Master takes a lot of responsibility for their slave, such as diet, career, etc.
Understand that a person chooses to be a slave to their Master. Being a slave fulfills their lives and provides them with pleasure – and they choose it of their own free will which can give them great pride.
