In this post, we talk about how to avoid subfrenzy.
How to Avoid Subfrenzy
People who are new to BDSM usually aren’t aware of something called “subfrenzy”.
This leads to new submissives getting carried away with their submission. Giving themselves over to anyone and everyone, ignoring the risks involved with playing with unfamiliar toys and strangers.
Many submissives who fall under the influence of subfrenzy neglect their own safety and tend to blame the Dominant for any issues they incur.
If you are an s-type, understand that your safety and education is as much your responsibility as any of your play partner’s.
How can you avoid sub-frenzy?
Here are tips on how to avoid subfrenzy:
Gather knowledge.
By now, you have acquainted yourself with the phenomenon known as subfrenzy while simultaneously striving to navigate through it effectively.
Furthermore, expanding your familiarity with BDSM as a whole would serve as a valuable asset.
Enhancing your comprehension regarding safety protocols and specialized terms will significantly enhance your overall experience within the Scene.
Ask for advice.
Talk to other submissive and ask how they play:
- What do they do for aftercare?
- Have they ever dealt with subfrenzy?
- What advice do they have to offer a newer submissive like yourself?
Play with friends or pros.
If you are on friendly terms with any competent D-types, ask if you can play with them.
This can help you get your subfrenzy out of your system.
If you don’t know any D-types personally, consider seeing a professional who will teach you and guide you accordingly.
There are many places that are specifically for this, these places have their rules and care so that there is no risk for either of the two people involved.
Learn the basics of safety.
Acquire further knowledge about the important aspects of post-play aftercare and identify any forms of play that are not compatible with your preferences. While it may sound peculiar, being consumed by sub-frenzy can hinder one’s ability to recognize potential sources of harm.
Should any doubts arise concerning your Dominant’s capability or intentions, make sure to confidently voice your concerns and reiterate both your wants and limits for assurance and mutual respect.
