Bastinado is a form of foot torture, or Falaka, that involves the act of inflicting damage by beating on the soles of someone’s feet.
Bastinado is usually inflicted by using a cane, or similar toy, to repeatedly give impact against the bottom of another person’s feet as it gradually becomes swollen.
Why do people like bastinado foot torture?
Generally, in BDSM you will find that masochists who enjoy different forms of pain play that will help them achieve subspace.
Bastinado is unique in that the beating is light and the repitition gives the bottom a chance to relax into their pain. The endorphins will rush to the feet as the swelling invites more pain to the experience.
There is also an appeal to people who have foot fetishes and enjoy worshipping feet through this form of play.
5 Tips for Bastinado Falanga Foot Torture
Understand that feet have lots of bones and nerves. In comparison to other parts of the body, feet are delicate, which is why the beating is done with light, yet quick, repetition. You are building up the pain, not unleashing it.
Avoid the red zone, meaning that you make sure not to beat on the top of the feet, the toes, or the ankles. These areas either have lots of little bones, too little protective tissure, or tendons you don’t want damaged.
Make sure you are impacting the green zone, which includes the ball of the foot, ball of the heel, and the arch of the foot. These areas are in order of least sensitive to most sensitive.
Practice beating your own feet first, that way you know how much pressure to apply to each smack at the foot. Start light and gradually work up.
Use high-precision toys to avoid hitting any parts of the foot that could cause some damage. Examples of high-precision toys are: canes, spoons, crops, etc.
Remember that this form of foot torture is performed with a repeated, very light, flick of the wrist. This isn’t a radical form of torture, in fact, it can seem underwhelming in action. But know that the bottom is having themselves a nice little time.
