Dollification is a roleplay where a doll is dressed up, physically and mentally, to fit the image ordered by their Maker.
The doll is typically a submissive who is being controlled to portray themselves in a way that pleases their dominant Maker.
This form of play is similar to CGL and DDlg that you will enjoy if you like the following:
- Submission
- Hypno Play
- Humiliation Degradation
- Bondage / On-Display Mummification
Types of Dolls & Makers
Makers are typically the dominant who is directing their doll. They can also be referred to as Creator, Owner, Puppetmaster, and similar.
Dolls aren’t all made in the image of Barbie, instead they are made in the image that their Makers want them to be.
This can be in the form of peppy schoolgirl, slutty stripper, classy girl boss, or however “dress up” their Makers want them in.
For example, my roommate back in Vegas would want his doll to be dressed in a very classy, yet slutty, kind of way where her appearance would demand the attention of other men.
He’d like to play by taking her out shopping to buy her fancy fashion pieces and to walk around and parade his doll (”put her on display”) as a trophy that other men couldn’t acquire.
Keep in mind that consensual objectification is part of the play here.
You can even argue that Elon Musk having Amber Heard dressed up as a video game character would be considered a form of dollification. Given her probability of having BPD, the willingness to engage and enmesh herself with his interests would lend the roleplay to be like a doll/Maker dynamic.
My point is that Makers can play with their dolls in various ways:
- Showing off their dolls
- Emotionally degrading their dolls
- Physically hurting dolls
If you can imagine how toys and dolls are played with, and sometimes damaged, then you get an idea what different types of ways Makers will engage in this dynamic.
Dollification also lends itself into other forms of play, like pet play, where the doll is “dressed up” within a hybrid dynamic.
Dollification Roleplay
You can think of dollification as objectification—similar to how in some forms of food play, a bottom will act as human furniture, like a table, and have others eat food off of their nude bodies.
You are treated like a static piece of property, unless given instruction to behave or act a certain way. But in general, the Maker will dress up their doll to appear a certain way and usually act a certain way.
Keep in mind that the person playing the doll role will still want to get some sort of satisfaction from this. Usually they are motivated by:
- Wanting to be beautified by their Maker
- The masochistic desire to be affect emotionally or physically
- Given a high level of attention
Whatever the motivations are on either side, during play the doll will be absolutely obedient.
Why Do People Like Dollification
For the Makers, they get a huge amount of control over their doll and can essentially do whatever they want within the realm of consent.
For the doll, they get to mentally relax and escape to a sort of “doll space” where they don’t have to think for themselves or their responsibilities and obligations.
There is also a sense of being perfection and without flaw when you are a doll. Because the Maker has dressed up their doll in a way where they are exactly how they are supposed to be.
If the doll is being admired in roleplay, they get to experience a lot of acceptance—which can influence the person to become more self-accepting if they can carry that emotional validation into their life outside of play.
Especially if they are being worshipped as part of play.
If the doll is put on display and not allowed to move, they can enter a meditative state that can help them overcome workaholism—which can help any distortion they have that is inherent to workaholism, such as believing relaxation is laziness.
Dollification can serve as an activity for building self-love in this sense.
